
Pioneers Aim for College Hockey’s National Championship

The Frozen Four semifinals and championship game will be played March 25-26 in Lake Placid, NY on the historic 1980 Rink at Herb Brooks Arena.
The quest for Utica University’s first national championship begins Saturday when the men’s hockey team hosts the University of New England in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. The teams face off at 2:00 p.m. at the Adirondack Bank Center.
The Pioneers, currently ranked No. 2 in both the DCU/U.S. College Hockey Online poll and the PairWise Rankings, earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament and a first round bye.

Utica enters national tournament play with a 25-2-1 overall record and with the top offense and defense in the nation. The Pioneers defeated Wilkes University 7-4 March 5 in the UCHC Championship Final to claim the league title and advance to its second consecutive NCAA Tournament.
